Our Approach
The firm's understanding of the built environment is
rooted in urban design which considers the buildings,
the spaces between them - the public realm - and our
movement through that realm. In this context, the
public realm is seen as the cultural artefact and the
information system by which we find meaning in the
            built environment.

Our approach to the built environment is based on three
            foundational principles: authenticity, perspective and
            timelessness.

Authenticity
Authenticity is a quality which is integral to finding
the solution with the right fit. It is achieved by
finding the roots from which the design grows and
staying true to them throughout the project.

Perspective
Perspective is necessary to understanding a design
challenge and reaching a solution which is in
proportion, has scale and encompasses a vision of how
the parts contribute to the whole.

Timelessness
Timelessness is a quality that allows a design to be of
its own time; to live proudly in the present and into
the future. It is derived by considering the human
experience of space; how we move through it and how we
communicate about it. Design is not about style or
fashion, as the future is not likely to be as we
            imagine it to be.
